Enterprises, in their initial stages of development, require knowledge about certain abilities in diverse management fields, such as finance, organizational behavior, operations, strategy, trade and sustainable development. The enterprise’s activity is a vertex where knowledge about different management fields focusing on three stages – pre-formation, formation and growth – converges.
Additionally, developing economies have particular characteristics that differentiate them from developed nations. As a consequence, these activities generate points of encounter and/or divergence, depending on the country and the economic context in which they are immersed.
Taking this into account, CEAST has brought together members of INCAE’s faculty from different management fields in order to develop applied research oriented toward fostering enterprise activities in developing economies.
The research aims to organize information about market intelligence in databases, generate case studies, develop studies on entrepreneurial frameworks and conditions and organize conferences to promote entrepreneurship. Initial current research is directed toward:
