Description of Database and Search Support
Database content
Case study summaries, teaching notes and exercises developed or supervised by INCAE Faculty members. These summaries are shown in the Web in order to indicate the interests of Faculty members. An additional purpose is to give an idea of subject matters included in INCAE's curricula. Case distribution is restricted.
Search support
- All words and all fields : By checking these options all of the words in the search space will be looked for in the entire case study register, including the case study summary.
- Omit initial entries in a search.
- A search will only find the exact word, so, be careful when writing the word.
- There is no need to discriminate between upper case and lower case when keying in search words. The use of distinctive signs, such as written accents in Spanish and other languages, is not taken into account, either.
- Numbers (e.g., year figures or case study code numbers) can be looked for by checking the All words and all fields options.
- As you increase the number of words in the search field, your search will become more specific. Also, as you decrease the number of words in the search field, your search will become more general. For example, a search for companies will bring more results than a search for new companies .
- Titles resulting from a search are displayed in alphabetical order.
