This work evaluates Costa Rica's competitiveness by applying the Competitiveness Growth Index (CGI) and the Business Competitiveness Index (BCI) based on the Global Competitiveness report indicators from the World Economic Forum. The document contains a list of the dialog and dissemination workshops on "Costa Rica's Competitiveness" held during October 2002 and September and November 2003, with participation by members of the public, business, political, judicial system, and communications media sectors and the country's civil society. This work falls within the actions of the National Competitiveness Council of Costa Rica, under the Ministry of the Economy, Industry, and Commerce (MEIC in Spanish) and the financial support of the WDB.
