| Summarizes the outcome of the five Agribusiness Consultation Workshops carried out in the capital cities of Central America between August and October 1998, as a part of the process carried out by the Agribusiness Project promoted by INCAE's Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS). The major agribusiness players from all Central American countries took part in the workshops, together with representatives of the government and the private sector. Participants included government ministers and vice-ministers (both of agriculture and of other areas), presidents of trade associations, NGOs representatives, agricultural producers, agribusiness managers, services firms directors, etc. The paper details the outcome of these activities, including prioritization of main competitiveness issues resulting from the research and consultation stage all over Central America .
