This study shows the current status of agribusiness in Central America, highlighting the historical and current significance of this activity in the region's economic development. The high degree of agricultural dynamism is shown by the high growth rates existing all over Central America . A new trend toward more diversification is noticed, particularly in the production of non-traditional goods. This paper exposes regional figures and then offers a per-country itemization, showing the agricultural goods with the highest export growth rates, as well as the items with the highest value-added components and the highest average export prices.
