Pratt, Lawrence
The paper shows progress made in research to quantify the potential supply of carbon compensations from Central American forests, specifically, carbon potential and carbon dioxide sequestration in Guatemala . For this purpose the soil use data estimated for 1966 have been taken as the base and years 2000, 2005, and 2015, and 2010 were used as scenarios, based on goals stated in the paper “ Costa Rican Forest Sector Development Perspectives Towards Year 2020,” presented at the 3 rd . Central American Forest Congress held in San José, Costa Rica, in September 1997 .
