INCAE’s Center for Women’s Leadership (CWL) was established in 1997 to promote and foster the development and advancement of women in their professional careers.
Today, although women make up nearly half of the workforce in Latin America, they do not have equal social, executive, or economic power. The CWL conducts and reviews research on the challenges that hinder women’s career progress, how they can overcome them and what companies, organizations and societies can do to better promote women into leadership positions. Center research is disseminated to relevant business sectors, government and societies through seminars, regional training programs, research publications, and books.
A world in which women and men have equal opportunities to become agents of change in the organizations they work for and the societies they live in.
(San Jose, Costa Rica 14th and 15th of October, 2008)
In October of 2008, the Center for Women’s Leadership will be holding its first annual congress for women and leadership. Guest speakers include leading women in business, media, and politics. The goal of the congress is to analyze the professional challenges and opportunities that exist for women in Latin America, to offer women executives and leaders a platform to share and exchange their experiences, and to develop women’s professional and leadership skills through education and training session (conducted by members of INCAE’s faculty).
