INCAE is a private, multinational, higher-education and non-profit organization devoted to teaching and research endeavors in the fields of business and economics from a worldwide perspective. It was founded to teach and form individuals capable of successfully assuming the most senior management positions in Latin America.
INCAE was founded in 1964 by the private sector and Central American governments; since then and to the date, it has been advised by the Harvard University Business School on its academics and applied research.
Today, INCAE focuses on three key activities:
INCAE is accredited in the United States by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) and in Europe by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). It is also affiliated to business school associations, such as: NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration) and BALAS (Business Administration and Latin American Studies). Finally, it is a member of CLADEA (Latin American Business School Council) and EFMD (European Foundation for Management and Development).
INCAE has world-class, full-time faculty. Some 95% of classes are given by professors with doctoral degrees from universities, such as Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, etc. Professors are constantly carrying out research and consultancies, making an impact on Latin America.
Through its In Company Programs Center, INCAE has developed a series of management training experiences for the public and private sectors to fill the vacuum faced by many management teams in companies and institutions in the region.
These events seek to affect public and private managers' practices, attitudes and values in the region in a positive way. The goal is to have all participants in the different programs develop skills to use instruments, methods and tools that the most-sophisticated corporations, institutions and central and local governments around the world access.
The environment and new ways to do business are challenges that companies and their managers face. The programs are designed to the needs of each company, which complements the management formation and link between business strategy and implementation. INCAE can help improve business and management skills by achieving this required and key organizational alignment.
The main purpose of INCAE's In Company Programs is to contribute to the development of their clients' management skills, allowing them to increase their efficiency and have successful results in their companies' businesses.
INCAE hopes to be selected as a partner by clients because of its creative solution development, which responds to needs and opportunities, and its ability to serve.
