Admission to the Intensive and Regular MBA Programs

We are interested in selecting those candidates with the highest degree of labor responsibility and career results that are significant to improved classroom and study group performance. We will consider the experience of those working while in college, as long as they did so in formal, continuous jobs. Exceptionally, a maximum of 10% of the class will consist of admitted students with little or no work experience, provided their university performance and their admission test results are outstanding.

Admission Procedure

Each application is reviewed by INCAE's Admission Committee during the time appointed to receive admission papers. All the information is confidential in nature and the decision of the Committee is made known in written to candidates. Since only a limited number of students will be admitted to each program, the admission process is designed to select only those most suitable to participate in it.

When deciding regarding the candidates' suitability, the Admission Committee will consider all of the information submitted by the candidates in their dossiers.

Candidates rejected by the Committee can apply for admission two years later and must undergo the entire application process again.

Admission Requirements

Admission Application

The only way to apply to INCAE's MBA Program is through the online application system.

  • Enter your data and e-mail them once you have provided all the information requested here.
  • Submit your documents to INCAE's local office or scan and e-mail them to INCAE (you can scan your passport size photograph and your resume.) You must bring to the Secretariat three sealed recommendations, a certification of university grades, a medical certification (all of these must be originals, not copies) and an authenticated copy of your university diploma.

Three recommendations

  • You can either e-mail the recommendation forms to your recommenders or download and hand them in person.
  • We strongly suggest these recommendations to be given by people who are fully acquainted with you from a labor and academic standpoint (not from a personal one.) It is convenient to have one of them given by an INCAE graduate.
  • Recommenders must hand you their letters in sealed envelopes, signed on their backs. Exceptionally (e.g., in those countries where INCAE has no office) they can mail them directly to our Admissions Office

Admission Exam and Ability Tests

See dates to take INCAE's Admission Test.

  • INCAE' exam comprises mathematics, geometry, and algebra. A second part is intended to measure cognitive ability, logical reasoning, intellect, leadership, ability to work under pressure, and so on. A third part deals with writing and a section is related to English.
  • Calculators are not allowed.
  • Candidates can choose between taking either GMAT or GRE.
  • In addition, they must submit to the ability test established by INCAE.
  • For both tests, candidates must have paid the amount established to cover procedure costs and arrange for date and hour with INCAE's local office.

Interview

Interviewers are appointed by INCAE. INCAE's local office will choose the date, time, and location for the interview.

Authenticated copy of your university diploma.

Certification of university grades, together with evaluation scale.

Two year relevant work experience.

Receipt of payment for procedure costs

Copy of passport or ID Card.

Final Recommendations

  • Upon admission, candidates must reserve their place before the deadline expires.
  • We strongly recommend you to reserve at your earliest convenience to ensure your place in the classroom and being able to start your preprogram studies. At the time of reserving, our office will provide you with materials you must study in depth prior to starting the program.
  • Admission is valid for one full year.
  • Rejected candidates can apply again within two years.
