Does INCAE provide a meal plan for students?
Meal plans are included in the living expenses costs for students who are single or reside on campus without their spouses. Married students who wish to purchase a meal plan are invited to visit INCAE´s Financial Department.
TopWhat expenses does the housing fee cover?
The housing fee at INCAE includes maintenance and cleaning services. Each student has to pay electric, telephone, cable or Internet bills.
Am I allowed to have visitors or guests at my house in INCAE?
Guests are not allowed at singles´ houses. If you have a visitor who wishes to stay on campus, please contact the service at extension 265 (Housing and Maintenance Department).
Do I have to pay for medical insurance?
No, medical insurance is included in the tuition costs.
If I already pay for medical insurance, do I have to pay INCAE´s suggested plan?
Not necessarily. If you do not wish to buy INCAE´s suggested medial insurance, you have to send a copy to INCAE´s office of your current insurance plan and a signed letter, explaining you exempt INCAE of any responsibility with regards to this subject. Make sure your medical insurance plan covers you in Latin America at least.
Is there any transportation to travel out of campus?
INCAE´s campus is 2km away from public transportatin (bus). You can walk or call a taxi by coordination with the Transportation Department (extension 060). The cost of transportation must be covered by each student.
Are there any options for leisure on campus?
Sports facilites: INCAE has a gym, open every day. The Student Affairs Office lends students sports equipment. There is one tennis court, a soccer field, volleyball/basketball court, ping pong table and trails to practice jogging or walking as you please. You can also bring your bicycle and enjoy La Garita´s setting and climate.
Which days are holidays?
MBA students are granted a two week vacation, contemplating Christmas and New Year. Normally classes start the first or second week in January. Christian/Catholic Holy Week is also granted. Costa Rican holidays do not apply either for students or faculty.
Are there any New Year activities at INCAE?
There are no New Year activities, as the institution closes for two weeks.
