INCAE Impact Centers

To further the school’s scope of applied research and deepen its influence in the Region, in 1996 INCAE established the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS).  CLACDS’ issue-driven research projects strive to provide the most relevant and innovative information to address Regional agendas. The Center also houses three INCAE initiatives that conduct ongoing work surrounding particular issues:

  • The Center for Regional Strategy will provide dedicated funding for INCAE’s most critical mission-driven priority, currently the implementation of the Central American Agenda for the 21st Century.

  • The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation studies, supports, and promotes successful new business creation in Latin America, with a particular emphasis on ventures relating to non-traditional exports.

  • The Center for Women’s Leadership is one of the few entities to empirically study the atmosphere in which women live and work in Latin America. The Center conducts research and provides training to help close the gender gap.

As the key vehicles for implementing INCAE’s mission into the future, these initiatives urgently need generous private support in order to respond quickly and with relevance when needs arise.
