Accreditations

INCAE Business School holds three prestigious global accreditations, providing its graduates all the benefits of a globally recognized degree, which is an important jumpstart for any international career. INCAE was the first business school in Latin America to receive all three such accreditations.

  1. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS): in 1994 INCAE was the first business school outside North America to receive this accreditation.
  2. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB): in 1998, INCAE was invited to participate in a pilot project for international accreditation, and it was among the first business schools outside North America to receive this honor.
  3. The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS): this accreditation was granted to INCAE in 2003 by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)..

INCAE is also affiliated with NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration), with BALAS (the Business Association of Latin American Studies), and is a member of CLADEA (the Latin American Council of Business Schools, or Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración).

SACS

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) is one of six regional associations recognized by the United States Government which collectively cover the national territory for the purpose of guaranteeing the finest academic standards through a peer review process, without direct government involvement.erlo.

SACS is the regional association responsable for accrediting universities and schools in the southeastern United States and in Latin America. This accreditation is a prerequisite for participating in educational assistance programs of the United States federal government. In 1994 INCAE was the first and continues to be one of the few postgraduate business schools outside North America to be accredited by SACS.

As part of the SACS reaffirmation of accreditation process, schools must develop a "Quality Enhancement Plan," which is a broa-based process that identifies goals related to student learning outcomes and contains a plan to assess their achievement. The QEP identified by INCAE is "Critical Thinking for Action," which reflects the school´s commitment to developing leaders able to solve problems and to implement those solutions. AACSB

The "Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business" (AACSB) is an organization that has historically been the most important accrediting association of business schools in the world. It was founded in 1916, for the purpose of bringing together the finest business schools in the United States to ensure the highest educational standards. The AACSB accreditation is a distinction

INCAE was among the first business schools outside the United States to be accredited by AACSB. The peer review team, made up of deans of business schools, recommended unanimously that accreditation be awarded to INCAE for its academic excellence, innovativeness and uniqueness. Special mention was given to the scope and quality of its educational and research programs,, its faculty, its strategy for developing new faculty, and the firm commitment of all members of the INCAE academic community to the school´s mission.

EQUIS

EQUIS (the European Quality Improvement System) is an european accreditation and guarantee of quality awarded by the "European Foundation for Management Development" (EFMD), whose basic objective is to elevate the standards of business education in Europe and around the world. EFMD is an international organization that has 650 institutional members including academic organizations, business firms, publlic service organizations, and consultancies in over 75 countries. EFMD provides a unique fórum for the Exchange of information, research, networking, and debate on innovation and best practice in manaerial development.
