INCAE initiates double-degree program with the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland

INCAE, June 10, 2013. This year, the INCAE Business School will begin a double master's degreeDurante sus estudios en la Universidad de St. Gallen como estudiante de SIM los alumnos realizarán prácticas o pasantías durante los descansos semestrales en Suiza. program with the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and will become the first Latin American business school with this type of double-degree program.
The Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management (SIM) of the University of St. Gallen was ranked first place in the world last year by the Financial Times' rankings of Masters in Management. INCAE was designated the best business school in Latin America by the América Economía magazine's 2013 MBA rankings, published on May 9th, and as the best MBA in Latin America by the Financial Times' rankings in January 2013. Graduates of this master's program will obtain two master's degrees: one from INCAE in Business Administration, and the other from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Strategy and International Management.

El Rector Arturo Condo recibió la estatuilla de manos de la directora ejecutiva de AED, Silvia Lara. (foto cortesía de AED)INCAE, June 7, 2013. The Business Development Association (AED) delivered a small statue to the President of the INCAE Business School, Dr. Arturo Condo, in recognition of support provided to this institution for 15 years.
Condo received the statue from Costa Rican sculptor Edgar Zúñiga, at the celebration of AED's 15th anniversary, which was held on May 28th at the Casa del Cuño at the Antigua Aduana.
Statues were also delivered to AED business associates from the "Honor Walter Kissling" category, to the State of the Nation Program, and to the Kissling family.

INCAE, June 5, 2013. The third and final module of the INCAE Business School's ManagementEn este módulo participan 30 profesionales de Costa Rica, Holanda, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panamá, El Salvador, Guatemala, México, Perú y Ecuador. Program for Hospitals and Health Care Institutions began on June 5th at Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Thirty professionals from Costa Rica, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador are participating in this module. Most of them—87%—work in private health centers. The goal of this training, which will conclude on June 7th, is to seek solutions to the most common administrative problems facing the hospital industry, using vanguard management techniques.

Este es uno de los programas más reconocidos de INCAE con 20 años de impartirse ininterrumpidamente.INCAE, June 5, 2013. From June 3-8, 113 professionals from different countries of the American continent are taking part in the Leadership and Management Program, at the INCAE Business School's Walter Kissling Gam campus in Costa Rica. This seminar/workshop is the only one of its kind, combining an academic approach with different practical activities, making it one of INCAE's most renowned programs. It has been taught on a regular basis for the past 20 years.

El Dr. Ernesto Cruz recibió un reconocimiento de manos de Francisco de Sola, Roberto Artavia, Carlos Pellas y Enrique BolañosINCAE, June 3, 2013. A portrait of INCAE Business School founder and president, Dr. Ernesto Cruz, was unveiled at a special ceremony held on May 30th at the Francisco de Sola campus in Nicaragua. Attendees included members of the INCAE Board of Directors, the Nicaragua National Committee, faculty and special guests. "Dr. Cruz is a man of ideas and action, who gave form to this school almost 50 years ago, defining the essence of what we are today," stated INCAE Vice President, Enrique Bolaños during the ceremony. Dr. Ernesto Cruz, of Nicaraguan nationality, is an attorney and holds a doctorate in political economics and government from Harvard University.
