GLOBALNETThe Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) Week was held last October 16th to 20th, bringing together 29 leading business schools from different countries around the world. It was aimed at improving the understanding of economic, social and environmental phenomena from a global perspective through academic exchange.

"Belonging to GNAM gives INCAE global positioning, particularly in relation to economic development and sustainability. Also, it contributes to our students' interaction with members of the network, both at INCAE and at programs offered globally", said GNAM Week Director at INCAE Víctor Umaña.


María Eugenia Brizuela contributes to new book on “25th Anniversary of Casa de América”

cfINCAE Board member María Eugenia Brizuela de Ávila, from El Salvador, was invited by Casa de América to contribute to the content of its 25th Anniversary commemorative book with a chapter on Migratory Flows and Social Movements in addition to lecturing on the topic last October 16th in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Brizuela is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Collaborative and Women's Leadership of INCAE, as well as former Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador and a major leader in the region.

susan clancy2Last October 19th The Americas Society/Council of the Americas held its Sixth Annual Women's Hemispheric Network Conference in New York, in order to bring together opinion leaders to exchange ideas and find solutions to current challenges. INCAE Faculty member and Director of the Center for Collaborative and Women's Leadership Susan Clancy lectured at this event.

The Conference gave participants a chance to connect with each other and take part in the conversation held during lunch with leaders at the table. This year's talks focused on the importance of building an impactful personal brand and the effects of an unconscious bias in women's ability to succeed in their careers.


First Global MBA Class graduated at Campus Walter Kissling Gam

gragraTwenty-eight students (seven females and 21 males) from Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Peru received their MBA degrees last October 6th at Campus Walter Kissling Gam in Costa Rica. They were the first Global MBA Class (2017) who strived for 14 toward this goal.

The full-time Global MBA Program provides a strong international component by combining management knowledge acquired at INCAE and interaction with world-renowned companies. This is achieved through a program integrating the case method with consulting projects and academic trips and visits to companies abroad. The Financial Times ranks this MBA

EBF-38"Don Ernesto was able to build an organization from scratch, with all the difficulties that occurred throughout his tenure, and to create a stronger, well-known INCAE", said INCAE Rector Enrique Bolaños while describing the legacy of Dr. Ernesto Cruz, second Rector of INCAE. Last October 2nd, INCAE Business School inaugurated its Rector Gallery named after Dr. Cruz, at the Francisco de Sola Campus in Montefresco, Nicaragua, in an event attended by 60 people, including four former rectors of INCAE.
