Nicolás González Revilla (MBA ’95) appointed influential leader by AASCB

INCAE alumnus Nicolás González Revilla (MBA ’95) was chosen as a 2019 International Influential Leader by AACSB, a global accreditor of schools with top standards of excellence. This annual recognition highlights outstanding graduates from over 831 schools accredited by AACSB, whose inspiring work serves as a model for the next generation of business leaders.

Nicolás was nominated by his school as a result of his clear passion and dedication to innovate within his industry, impact the communities around him, and inspire future business leaders in Panama and the entire region.

The official announcement was made on February 5 through the AACSB Web page, and it will be announced again at AACSB's Dean Conference to be held on February 10-12 in Vancouver, Canada.

"Congratulations on this achievement that has placed you next to 33 exceptional individuals from all over the world. Your leadership has been evident since you began your career in the media industry, while also fostering the socio-economic and environmental development ih Panama and the region through the corporate social responsibility programs you have led", stated INCAE Rector Enrique Bolaños.

Nicolás serves currently as CEO to Grupo Medcom and President of Corporación Medcom in Panama, a company owning five TV channels and three radio stations. Until very recently he was General Manager of Cable Onda, a telecommunications, technology, and entertainment company and is a member of INCAE’s National Committee in Panama, the Advisory Council to the Rector, and Ambassador of INCAE’s Country Challenge in Panama.

From these positions he has promoted various corporate social responsibility programs to create opportunities and safe havens for children living in areas where violence and drugs prevail. Today, the New Generation Movement supports 10 communities in five different centers to promote educational, sports, and recreational activities.

For four years now, the Influential Leaders Challenge has recognized nearly 200 business school graduates for their lasting impact on business and society. All of them have obtained a bachelor's, graduate, or doctoral degrees from an AACSB-accredited schools. Currently, more than 800 business schools throughout the world are accredited by AACSB.
