Mr. Bolaños is currently President of INCAE Business School and president of the Enrique Bolaños foundation, NGO dedicated to the creation of a virtual library of events for nicaraguans (www.enriquebolanos.org). He previously was Executive Vice President of INCAE Business School.
Bolaños Abaunza was CEO of Flexsys, the biggest international company for rubber additives, with sales over $700 million dollars a year, and 16 facilities around the globe. He led Flexsys through a very competitive and difficult environment, and finally the company succeeded with its commitment to the stakeholders. For this he built a very strong and cohesive team, which was the base for its success. He also has great experience on the chemical industry, and is a cultural manager with wide international experience.
Flexsys was born as a joint venture between Monsanto, an american firm, and the dutch company Akzo Nobel. Bolaños has worked with Monsanto where he has been manager in Colombia, Mexico, and also Latin American Director.
He studied Industrial Engineering at Michigan University, and has an MBA from INCAE Business School.
