    He is a full professor at INCAE and teaches courses about Macroeconomic Analysis, Business Finance and Economic Policy. He’s the Academic Director of INCAE’s Developing Business Leadership Program. He has taught at Universidad de Costa Rica (1991-1994) and was Director of the Masters in Business Economics program (1987-1990) for the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS, Spanish acronym).

    Camelia Ilie

    Dr. Camelia Ilie is Dean of Executive Education at INCAE Business School and Chair of the Center for Collaborative & Women Leadership. She teaches leadership development, neuroscience, transformation and organizational change. She is an Engineer specialized in Optical and Biomedical Devices, with a Summa Cum Laude Doctorate from the Pontificia de Comillas University in Spain, DEA from the Complutense University, and Senior Executive Program from ESADE and Babson College.

  • Roy Gerardo Zúñiga

    Professor Roy Zúñiga has a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering with emphasis on Operations and Systems Strategy from Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. He also pursued doctoral studies in Business Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. In addition, he has a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Environmental Management from the University of Oregon, USA. He received his MBA degree and a graduate degree of Functional Management from INCAE, where he graduated with High Honors. Moreover, he holds a Licentiate Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Costa Rica and graduated as an ISO 9000 quality auditor.

Luis Noel Alfaro Gramajo

A professor, consultant and businessman, Dr. Alfaro, from Guatemala, joined INCAE in 1986. He has been the academic director of several training programs for the public and private sectors and non-governmental organizations.

He specializes in Institutional Analysis, Finance for Development, Micro Finance and Economic and Social Development. He’s a member of the world Microfinance Network in MBA programs and the Academy of Management (AOM).

Juan Carlos Barahona

Dr. Barahona is Associate Professor of Management of Technology and Innovation at INCAE the leading Business School in Latin America, where he also serves as the Academic Director of the Executive Master in Marketing and Digital Transformation.

Currently, Dr. Barahona´s research interest is focused on the role of informal social networks and the study of subjectivity to improve adoption of digital solutions within the firm, manage change and build a culture of innovation.

Esteban R. Brenes

Esteban Brenes, from Costa Rica, specializes in strategy and entrepreneurship. He has lectured at the business schools of universities like Michigan, Chicago and Duke. He’s a visiting professor at Cotrugli Business School in Croatia. He has taught in tailor-made programs for Carlsberg, Coca Cola, Oracle, CEMEX, Citibank, Chiquita, among others.

Arnoldo Camacho

Arnoldo Camacho is from Costa Rica and specializes in banking, finance and microeconomics. He is the author of two books about financial markets and has written several case studies.

María Elena Carballo

Professor María Elena Carballo, from Costa Rica, obtained her Ph.D in Literary Studies from Brandies University in the United States. She wrote her dissertation on El Otoño del Patriarca, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and the Hispanic novel during the dictatorship.

Before joining INCAE, she was Fulbright-LASPAU scholar for three years, and for two consecutive years, she also received the Hirschfeld Fellowship at Brandeis Unversity. The book La Casa Paterna, which she co-authored, won the national essay award in 1993 in Costa Rica.

Guillermo Cardoza

He’s a specialist in innovation management, business competitiveness, and business in emerging economies. He has over twenty-five years of experience in teaching, research, consulting, and management of academic institutions. He has been an advisor to different governments in the region (Brasil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and several Caribbean countries).

Susan A. Clancy

Prof. Clancy is renowned as an expert in topics of gender diversity and women leadership. She has succeeded in a predominantly male environment.

She has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Harvard University, where she was a Faculty member. At INCAE, she is a professor and Research Director of the Center for Women’s Leadership.

She has presented at numerous conferences and training programs at multinational companies like Coca-Cola, INTEL, General Mills, HP, P&G, and HSBC.

Arturo Cruz

Tenured Professor at INCAE since 1994. Served as Nicaragua’s Ambassador to the United States and Canada. Earned a BA in Political Science at American University, a Masters in International Relations Johns Hopkins, and he obtained his Doctorate in Modern History from the University of Oxford. Renowned expert in Latin American and US Foreign Policy.

José Exprúa

He’s a Marketing Professor in INCAE’s full-time MBA. He has more than fifteen years of teaching experience in Latin America and the United States. He has lectured in over 200 seminars, workshops, and conferences in the U.S, Central and South America. In administration, he has served as INCAE’s Secretary General, Director of Master Programs and Dean.
