Professor Roy Zúñiga has a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering with emphasis on Operations and Systems Strategy from Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. He also pursued doctoral studies in Business Management at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. In addition, he has a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Environmental Management from the University of Oregon, USA. Dr. Barahona is Associate Professor of Management of Technology and Innovation at INCAE the leading Business School in Latin America, where he also serves as the Academic Director of the Executive Master in Marketing and Digital Transformation.
Currently, Dr. Barahona´s research interest is focused on the role of informal social networks and the study of subjectivity to improve adoption of digital solutions within the firm, manage change and build a culture of innovation.
He’s a specialist in innovation management, business competitiveness, and business in emerging economies. He has over twenty-five years of experience in teaching, research, consulting, and management of academic institutions. He has been an advisor to different governments in the region (Brasil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and several Caribbean countries).
