Emeritus Professor Roberto Mendoza was a Senior Lecturer at INCAE Business School. He holds an MBA from the same institution and a graduate degree in Public Accounting from Centro de Estudios Superiores in Managua, Nicaragua. He taught Accounting and Control at INCAE and has been visiting professor at Miami University and lecturer at Florida International University. He has been a presenter in international professional meetings like the III Accounting Conference, Spain; IV National Conference on Accounting, Nicaragua; IX and X National Accountants Conference, Panama; Engineers Conference, Guatemala and Accountants Conference, Guatemala.
Full Professor at INCAE Business School, Professor Montiel has a doctorate from Harvard University and a Masters of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), concentrating in Banking and Finance. He served as Dean of INCAE and has more than thirty years of experience in working with private firms, banks and foundations throughout the region. Author of several books and articles in his area of specialization.
Emeritus Professor at INCAE Business School and visiting profesor at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. He was a research professor at Universidad de los Andes and Harvard University; he has also taught in Japan, France and other cities in Spain. He studied industrial engineering at Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia). He has an MBA from IESE in Barcelona, a Master of Science in social psychology and a Ph. D. in organizational theory from Northwestern University.
Professor Felipe Pérez, from El Salvador, obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University in 1999. He also holds an MBA degree from INCAE with a specialization in Development Banking and Finance and a graduate degree in Functional Management with emphasis in Agribusiness Management from the same institution, where he graduated with honors. Professor Pérez is also an agronomist from Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo, Mexico, where he specialized in Irrigation and was an honor roll student throughout the whole program.
Andrea Prado, Associate Professor, has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Stern School of Business, New York University. She also earned a Master in International Economics at the University of Essex in England, and a degree in Economics at Universidad de Costa Rica.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2000. He also holds Masters degrees in Statistics and Economics from the same University. His areas of expertise are: Macroeconomics, International Trade, Econometrics and Statistics.
Professor Quintanilla has taught Macro and Microeconomics at the University of Michigan.
His publications include case studies and articles in the Journal of Business Research and INCAE Business Review.
Dr. Ramirez, from Colombia, specializes in the areas of general management and communication. He has lead several seminars for boards of directors and executives from companies and public organizations on topics, such as: Organizational Strategy, Political and Environmental Analysis, Negotiation Strategies, Management of Structural Change Processes and Economic Reform Policies.
He’s a full professor at INCAE, where he teaches Industrial Dynamics, e-Business and International Finance, among other courses. He holds a Masters and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.
In the Finance field, he has done research on capital flows to emerging economies and on the refinancing and reduction of sovereign debt, particularly that of Ecuador and Argentina. He has also researched the privatization processes of the telecommunications and electricity industries in Central America, firm valuation methodologies, and more recently, global investment strategies.
German Fernando Retana, from Costa Rica, has a Ph.D. in Business with emphasis on Information Technology from Georgia Institute of Technology in the U.S., an MBA from INCAE, where he graduated with Honors, a Masters in Project Management from Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional, and a degree in Computer Engineer from Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, where he also graduated with Honors.
Professor Rodriguez is Assistant Professor at INCAE Business School, where he teaches Financial and Managerial Accounting, Budgeting and Control, and Applied Research courses. Professor Rodriguez also offers updating seminars in Executive Education programs.
His other activities include business consulting all over Central America and serving as an Advisor to the Costa Rican Government on accounting fraud and manipulation. In addition, he is a member of the American Accounting Association.
