Scholarships | INCAE Master Programs

The following are some the scholarship options offered at INCAE. It is advisable to contact your local Ministry of Foreing Affairs for more options and information.

Leaders for Change Scholarship

This scholarship is destined to outstanding students from Latin America. Potential applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

Requirements:

  • Be a Latin American citizen.
  • Be admitted to the full-time MBA Latin American Leadership or MBA Global Perspective program.
  • Receive a minimum score of 650 points (more than 50 in each section) on INCAE’s admission exam (PAEP), or the equivalent grade in GMAT or GRE.
  • Have an excellent academic performance during their university education with a minimum average (GPA) of 85/100 or equivalent. 
  • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.
  • Be able to finance all economic costs not covered by the scholarship.

Conditions:

  • INCAE offers up to 70% of Tuition costs of the MBA program. Students must finance the remaining costs of tuition and additional costs.
  • Scholarship applies only to the full-time MBA Latin American Leadership or MBA Global Perspective program.
  • Once the beneficiary is notified of the scholarship grant, he or she will have one week to pay the enrollment fee in order to keep the scholarship.

    Woman Scholarship

    This scholarship is offered to women who are seeking admission to an MBA Full Time program at INCAE. Potential applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.

    Requirements:

    • Be a woman.
    • Be admitted to the full-time MBA Latinamerican Leadership or MBA Global Perspective program.
    • Receive a minimum grade of 650 points on INCAE admission exam (PAEP), or equivalent grade in GMAT or GRE.
    • Have an excellent academic performance during their university education with a minimum average of 80/100.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.
    • Be able to finance all economic costs not covered by the scholarship.
    • Actively support the Center for Women's Leadership.

    Conditions:

    • INCAE offers up to 50% of Tuition costs of the MBA program. Students must finance the remaining costs of tuition and other costs.
    • Scholarship applies only to the full-time MBA Latinamerican Leadership or MBA Global Perspective program.
    • Once the beneficiary is notified of the scholarship grant, she will have one week to pay the enrollment fee in order to keep the scholarship.

    Pellas Scholarship

    Thanks to the initiative of businessman Carlos Pellas, INCAE has a fund that provides support through scholarships and student loans to those Central American citizens who show academic excellence and demonstrate financial need.

    Requirements:

    • Being from a Central American country
    • Be admitted to the full-time MBA Latin American Leadership or MBA Global Perspective program.
    • Have a record of academic excellence (Admission grade: 600 and College grade (GPA): 80/100).
    • Demonstrate financial need and the ability to finance the remaining costs of tuition and additional costs.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.

    From the amount allocated to a student who receives this benefit, a percentage will be considered scholarship and the remainder will be a loan, as determined by the Financial Aid Committee. The percentage of financing must be repaid in a period subsequent to graduation in order to contribute to the development of future INCAE generations.

    The INCAE Foundation

    INCAE has a fund that provides support to those candidates that demonstrate academic excellence as well as economic need to face the costs of their Full Time MBA.

    Conditions:

    • From the amount allocated to a student who receives this benefit, a percentage will be considered scholarship and the remainder will be a loan, as determined by the Financial Aid Committee.
    • The percentage handed out as a loan must be repaid in a period subsequent to graduation in order to contribute to the development of future INCAE generations.
    • Scholarship applies only to the full-time MBA programs.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.
    • Once the beneficiary is notified of the scholarship grant, he or she will have one week to pay the enrollment fee in order to keep the scholarship.

    Global Shapers Scholarship

    The scholarship was created to support outstanding active members of the Global Shapers community. This scholarship is meant to assist financially-constrained model regional leaders in their training as future businesspeople capable of guiding, enhancing, and helping to develop and grow their countries of origin.

    Requirements:

    • Be an active member of the Community
    • Be admitted to the MBA Global Perspective program beginning in August at INCAE's Walter Kissling Gam Campus in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
    • Receive a minimum score grade of 650 points (more than 50 in each section) on INCAE’s admission exam (PAEP), or equivalent grade in GMAT or GRE.
    • Have an excellent academic performance during their university education with a minimum average (GPA) of 85/100.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.
    • Write an essay on a project you are working on currently or one you have already completed. Make sure you answer the following about your project:  What were your main challenges and how did you solve them? What are the outcomes? How did you get involved in the project? Feel free to elaborate.
    • Be able to finance all economic costs not covered by the scholarship.

    Vicente Pascual Barquero Scholarship

    Vicente Pascual Barquero was one of the founders of INCAE. The Pascual Landa family's goal is to help prepare young people with limited resources who have intellectual, moral and leadership capacities. In order that after completing the program they become agents of change willing to contribute to the development of the region.

    Requirements

    • Be a Panama citizen.
    • Be admitted to the full-time MBA Global Perspective or MBA Latin American Leadership programs.
    • Proven leadership potential.
    • Demonstrate academic excellence.
    • Ethical and moral well-grounded principles.
    • Demonstrate financial need.

    Margaret McNamara Education Grants (MMEG) Scholarship

    INCAE Business School has an agreement with the organization Margaret McNamara Education Grants (MMEG) that is dedicated to grant scholarships to women who are committed to the development of their countries. For the first time, INCAE will be part of the Latin America Program and is the only business school in Latin America eligible to apply.

    Requirements:

    • Be at least 25 years old at the time of the deadline.
    • Be a citizen of a country in the list of eligible countries of MMEG (MMEG List of eligible countries).
    • Be registered at an accredited academic institution at the time of submitting the application; and after being named winner of the scholarship, by the board of MMEG, be enrolled for a full academic period in one of the participating universities of the program.
    • Not having any family ties (or being a spouse) with employees of the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund or the Inter-American Development Bank

    Scholarship for Sergio Arboleda Alumni

    INCAE Business School offers two partial scholarships for Colombian young leaders who demonstrate academic excellence.

    One for those interested in pursuing the MBA Latin American Leadership and another scholarship for those interested in pursuing the MBA Global Perspective.

    Requirements:

    • Be a Colombian Citizen and have graduated from Sergio Arboleda University.
    • Have the admissions letter to a Full Time MBA program.
    • Demonstrate excellent academic record (GPA, Admissions Grade) and financial need.
    • Be able to afford the costs not covered by the scholarship.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.

    Conditions:

    • INCAE offers up to 50% of Tuition costs of the Full Time MBA program.
    • The student must finance the remaining costs of tuition and additional costs.

    Oscar Montealegre Scholarship

    This scholarship is intended to stimulate the development of new Honduran leaders that can make an impact on their country and the region. It is a $6,000 scholarship for all the program duration, applicable to INCAE's MBA Full Time programs.

    The Financial Aid Committee, considering compliance with the requirements of INCAE and in coordination with the Donor will be responsible for granting the scholarship.

    Enrique Uribe Business Scholarship

    Cuestamoras will sponsor a full scholarship to the MBA Latin American Leadership


    Requirements

    • Be a Latin American citizen.
    • Be admitted to the MBA Latin American Leadership Group 2.
    • Receive a minimum grade of 620 points (more than 50 in each section) on INCAE admission exam (LASPAU), or equivalent grade in GMAT or GRE.
    • Have an excellent academic performance during their university education with a minimum GPA of 85/100 and a CV with important experience.
    • Submit an essay about the candidate’s company or business plan that will get started after graduating from the program.
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.

    Conditions

    • The scholarship will cover up to a 100% of the investment in the program.
    • Enroll the Entrepreneurship track and pass the course.
    • Scholarship applies only to the MBA Latin American Leadership - Group 2.
    • At the end of 1st part of the program, the student must be devote to writing a business plan in the months of June to August (prior to the program) and shall submit it to a panel of Cuestamoras executives.
    • The candidate must complete the MCP in any of the companies of Cuestamoras Group unless otherwise noted.
    • Upon graduation, candidates must devote to their business by implementing the Business Plan they submitted
    • Once the beneficiary is notified of the scholarship grant, he or she will have one week to pay the enrollment fee in order to keep the scholarship.

    Honor funds

    The main requirement of the Honor Funds is that it must be repaid by the student once the program is completed, in order to allow future INCAISTAS to further benefit from these funds. As these Funds are considered soft financial aid, the interest rate is lower than the market and do not require collateral, just the signed commitment of the recipient.

    Among the benefits of getting a Honor Fund include the following:

    • Support from USD4,000 to USD13,500 for the entire program. The amount depends on the type of funds.
    • Donors are big companies of the region, which review the records of candidates, who might have the chance to meet representatives from the donor fund and could be considered for a position in the future.
    • Low financial cost for a reasonable time (maximum 5 years).
    • The beneficiary must begin paying 3 months after the date of graduation.

    Conditions

    • These funds are mutually exclusive.
    • Being from the country where each fund comes from.
    • Be admitted to the full-time MBA Latin American Leadership or MBA Global Perspective programs.
    • Receive a minimum grade of 580 points (more than 50 in each section) on INCAE admission exam (LASPAU), or equivalent grade in GMAT or GRE.
    • This fund may not be combined with any other benefit granted by INCAE, including discounts.

    Patricia Price Peterson Foundation Scholarship

    Its goal is to prepare young Central Americans with intellectual, moral and leadership ability, but with limited resources, who without such aid would not be able to carry out a program at INCAE Business School. It is our only full scholarship as it covers 100% of Tuition, and is applicable to the Full Time MBA programs.

    The Financial Aid Committee, considering compliance with the requirements of INCAE, and in coordination with the Donor will be responsible for assigning the best candidate the scholarship throughout the admission process.

    Requirements:

    • Panamanian (preferably) or Central American nationality.
    • Graduated from Earth University or Zamorano University.
    • Excellent academic record.
    • Clear need for financial resources

    René Morales Carazo Scholarship

    René Morales Carazo Scholarship Committee has a fund that grants partial support to Nicaraguan and Honduran entrepreneurs for the MBA Latin American Leadership program, specialized in entrepreneurship, that begins in August.

    Requirements:

    • Have been admitted to the MBA Latin American Leadership program, specialized in entrepreneurship.
    • Submit a Curriculum Vitae with experience in entrepreneurship.
    • Fill out and send the scholarship application form to financialaid@incae.edu, with a copy to the corresponding admissions manager.
    • Have the necessary financial resources to cover the costs not covered by the Scholarship.
    • Submit a business plan about your company or the idea you want to develop.

    Conditions:

    • The René Morales Carazo Scholarship committee will grant up to $25,000 applicable to the tuition fee.
    • Applies only to the MBA Latin American Leadership program that starts in August.
    • Enroll and approve the specialization in Entrepreneurship.
    • Be an active member of the INCAE Entrepreneurship club.
    • Write a monthly article about the MBA experience and other topics related to entrepreneurship.

    Honduras 20/20 Scholarship

    The “Honduras 20/20” Presidential Scholarship Program offers partial funding for Honduran students who demonstrate academic excellence who wish to pursue the Latin American MBA at INCAE Business School.

    Requirements:

    • Be Honduran.
    • Be admitted to the MBA Latin American Leadership or MBA Global Perspective.
    • Demonstrate excellent academic record (GPA, INCAE Admissions Grade) and financial need.
    • Be able to afford the costs not covered by the scholarship. (* INCAE has the possibility of providing additional scholarships up to USD15,000 to students of academic excellence and proven financial need).
    • Ask your Manager or Admissions Coordinator for online access to the "financial information" form.

    Conditions:

    • The “Honduras 20/20” Presidential Scholarship Program will finance up to USD20,000.
    • Once the beneficiary is notified of the scholarship grant, he or she will have one week to pay the enrollment fee in order to keep the scholarship.
    • The student must return to Honduras and work for a period of not less than two years in a public or private institution.
